Beaumont Tashjian (BT) is excited to announce that Kumar S. Raja, Esq. has elevated to firm partner as of January 1, 2023.
With over twenty (20) years of legal experience in litigation and transactional matters, Kumar offers immediate value to the firm’s state-wide community association clientele. His diverse background in litigated matters gives him the ability to develop creative, problem-solving solutions in the courtroom and boardroom. Kumar counsels BT clients on a wide array of subjects, including risk management and corporate governance. He is driven by a passion to promote community harmony through Board member education and support of BT’s valued management partners. Additionally, Kumar has been instrumental in expanding BT’s reach throughout California by speaking engagements, authoring published articles, and conducting various seminars.
Kumar holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles (Dean's Honor List), where he wrote for the school's newspaper (Daily Bruin). At Loyola Law School in Los Angeles (J.D. 2002), Mr. Raja participated in the school's Scott Moot Court Program and completed externships at the LA City Attorney's Office and U.S. Bankruptcy Court (Hon. Kathleen March). Mr. Raja is a proud contributor to Community Associations Institute (CAI) and California Association of Community Managers (CACM), and has been an invited guest speaker at state and local CACM and CAI chapters. He is an award-winning author having written several articles on trending topics and new legislation affecting common interest developments.
