Cooper R. McHatton, is an associate attorney at Beaumont Tashjian, where he passionately serves as a litigator representing clients throughout his home state. Mr. McHatton is experienced in client relations, fostering equitable solutions by working with clients on a personal level to achieve favorable outcomes. At the University of California, Los Angeles, Mr. McHatton studied the social psychology of discrimination and the history of American civil rights movements, graduating with honors before joining then-Senator Kamala Harris’s press team. At Pepperdine Caruso School of Law, Mr. McHatton clerked with government agencies throughout California, including the Special Prosecutions Division of the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office, the Workers’ Compensation Division of the Los Angeles County Counsel, and the Licensing Division of the California Department of Justice. Mr. McHatton was also President of the Pepperdine chapter of the National Lawyers Guild, Programming Chair for the Pepperdine American Constitution Society, and Vice President of Operations for the Pepperdine Criminal Law Society. Mr. McHatton started practice as an associate attorney in the fields of employment law and insurance defense before joining Beaumont Tashjian. In his spare time, Mr. McHatton collects historical campaign memorabilia and loves a good book.
