 Cooper R. McHatton, Esq., is an associate attorney at Beaumont Tashjian, where he focuses on litigation, advocating for clients throughout his home state. Known for his strategic approach and client-centered advocacy, Mr. McHatton is dedicated to fostering equitable solutions and achieving favorable outcomes. Mr. McHatton earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he studied social psychology and the history of American civil rights movements, graduating with honors. Before attending law school, he worked on then-Senator Kamala Harris’s press team, gaining valuable experience in public policy and communications. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Pepperdine Caruso School of Law, where he clerked for multiple government agencies across California, including the Special Prosecutions Division of the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office, the Workers’ Compensation Division of the Los Angeles County Counsel, and the Licensing Division of the California Department of Justice. His leadership extended beyond his legal work—he served as President of the Pepperdine chapter of the National Lawyers Guild, Programming Chair for the Pepperdine American Constitution Society, and Vice President of Operations for the Pepperdine Criminal Law Society. |
