Lisa A. Tashjian, a partner with Beaumont Tashjian, has devoted her career to representing community associations. While Ms. Tashjian provides the firm’s clients with legal advice on all areas of community association law, she focuses her practice on litigation including dispute resolution, arbitration and trial work and supervises the firm’s attorney-managed assessment collections department. Among her many successes on behalf of her clients, Ms. Tashjian won a large arbitration award for a community association in an action against a homeowner who did not pay regular assessments, special assessments and emergency assessments. The award by the arbitrator included all assessments as well as the client’s attorney’s fees and costs. In addition to her practice, Ms. Tashjian is active in various community association organizations, such as Community Associations Institute (CAI) and California Association of Community Managers (CACM). She is past President of the CAI-Channel Islands Chapter where she also served as the liaison for the group’s California Legislative Action Committee and is past President of the CAI-Greater Los Angeles Chapter (CAI-GLAC), and continues to serve on the Board for CAI-GLAC. She is a distinguished and frequent speaker for both CAI and CACM. Ms. Tashjian has also authored several articles published in each of the organization’s magazines. |
