Tara Radley, Esq., a Shareholder with Beaumont Tashjian, has devoted her time to the firm’s litigation department as well as providing general counsel services to the firm’s clients. Ms. Radley oversees the firm’s litigation practice, with particular experience in law and motion, including obtaining and defending various types of restraining orders and preliminary injunctions, mediations and appeals. Ms. Radley’s general counsel services include contract review and negotiations, conflict resolution, disciplinary and compliance matters, preparation of, amendment to and guidance on governing documents and conducting stock cooperative transfers. Ms. Radley successfully represented a large senior community in a jury trial against a homeowner who breached the association CC&Rs and interfered with its insurance policy, thus resulting in a sizeable monetary award, punitive damages, attorney fees and a permanent injunction against the owner, all of which were affirmed on appeal. Ms. Radley also recently represented a residential planned development in obtaining an award following a bench trial against homeowners involved in a contentious architectural dispute against the association, including monetary damages, two permanent injunctions and a six-figure award of attorney fees, which was also affirmed on appeal in its entirety. Ms. Radley is active in speaking on various community association topics in the industry, including for Community Associations Institute (CAI) Greater Los Angeles Chapter (CAI-GLAC), Channel Islands Chapter (CAI-CIC) and Greater Inland Empire Chapter (CAI-GRIE). Ms. Radley holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Studies from Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York, where she graduated magna cum laude from the Roy H. Park School of Communications. She obtained her Juris Doctorate from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles, California. She was admitted to the State Bar of California and the United States District Court for the Central District of California in 2010. |
